NCF Men's Retreat 2014

All of NCF's programming for men focuses on the need for us to grow spiritually. The theme of this year's men's retreat is "No More Milk: What 'Solid Food' Leadership Means for You, Here and Now." Our theme is taken from Hebrews 5:11-14, which says:

About this we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.

We want to be men who are mature, who can ingest solid spiritual "food," and who have discernment. And we confess that, as Paul says in 1 Corinithians 3:7, "neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth." We will come together in September to ask God to do just that, to grow us, and we will be led in this exploration by the Session of NCF. A full agenda appears below.
